Restaurant Writers’ Club is a place where, for more than six decades, feasted , exchanged jokes, argued… writers, statesmen, politicians, actors, diplomats, and sometimes a beautiful woman. . This is a “culinary and literary sanctuary “of Belgrade. This restaurant was founded in the middle of the last century, more precisely in 1946.. Restaurant Writers’ Club has already hosted many dignitaries from home and abroad. Italian writer Alberto Moravia , the French writer Simone de Beauvoir and her friend, writer and philosopher Jean – Paul Sartre often came to Belgrade to spend nights in this club. Richard Burton while filming Sutjeska, liked to drop for a whiskey in the Writers’ Club. Cashew and Andric ended every meeting with a dinner in Francuska 7.

Restaurant Paul Korčagin has attracted a large number of regular visitors with its uniqueness, making it necessary to reserve seats in advance . Besides the diversity of the environment , with many Titoist details, each and every thing in the pub is telling stories from times gone by, which create nostalgia. Tuesdays and Wednesdays in Korčagin are played ex Yugoslavian songs, but selected folk music as well, the other days of the orchestra playing old and folk music. Belgrade’s oldest inn, built in 1823. Once owned by Prince Milos Obrenovic and built in the Balkan style, it changed masters and names since 1878. At that time it was sold by the heirs. First, in 1878 it was called ” The Shepherd “, then in 1892, By Saborna Church. As a temporary solution, the owner just put a question mark , which remained until today. The inn was frequently visited by Vuk Karadzic in 1830-1831 . There was the first pool in Belgrade, in 1834.
